2008 FAIRHOPE FILM FESTIVAL

 

ANNOUNCES ADVANCE TICKET SALES AND FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

 

 

FAIRHOPE, AL. – March 14, 2008 – The 1st Annual Fairhope Film Festival (FFF) is excited to announce advance ticket/passes are now available for purchase at www.fairhopefilmfest.com .

 

 

-          Full Romance Pass $50 – Weekend admission into everything; this includes Premiere Night, admission to all films, and Awards Social with Filmmakers.

 

-          Daily Passion Pass $20 – An admission for one day to all films.

 

-          Ticket for One $10 – One admission that can be used at any one screening.

 

-          Opening Night on Fairhope Beach $10 – One admission into this screening only.

 

-          Awards Social $30 – A VIP Event, Mingle with the Filmmakers.

 

 

Directors, producers, writers, and actors of these films have made plans to attend the festival.  They will be available to answer questions from the audience after each screening.  Upon closing of the festival, these filmmakers will be available at the Awards Social to mingle with ticketholders, and to share their insight in the world of independent film-making.

-          1:00 pm- In the Wake of the Assassins; showing at the University of South Alabama Baldwin County Performance Theater (Documentary World Premiere)

 

-          3:30 pm- Dark Devotion (Short) / Forgotten Coast (Documentary); showing at the University of South Alabama Baldwin County Performance Theater

 

-          6:30 pm- Boyfriend Latte (Short World Premiere) / All Along (Feature); showing at the Faulkner State Centennial Theater

 

-          9:00 pm- The Gift Wrapper (Short World Premiere) / Cold Play (World Premiere Feature); showing at the Faulkner State Centennial Theater

 

 

Saturday April 5th, 2008

 

-          9:30 am- Taste of June (Short) / Train Master (Family Feature) showing at the University of South Alabama Baldwin County Performance Theater

 

-          12:30 pm- Creepers (Short) / A Thousand Hills (Family Feature); showing at the University of South Alabama Baldwin County Performance Theater

 

-          4:00 pm- Finding Harvey (Short) / The Reckoning: Remembering the Dutch Resistance (Documentary); showing at the Faulkner State Centennial Theater

 

-          7:00 pm- Awards Social- mingle with the filmmakers at the French Quarter in downtown Fairhope, AL. 

 

 

This new festival has received numerous entries from all over the world and has selected 15 great pictures that boast a wide variety of dramatic, documentary, short and student films.  Among these films, 4 of them are World Premieres; 1 Feature, 1 Documentary and 2 Short Films. The FFF is also proud to showcase “Racing Daylight”, an Independent Feature starring Academy Award Nominee David Strathairn, as the Opening Night Premiere Film (Thurs., April 3rd).
