Does anyone else find it disturbing that a Summerdale Police officer would travel at 138mph up HWY 59 from Summerdale thru Robertsdale just for a couple trees? I think it was dangerous and careless to others on the road to jeopardize other drivers well being over some trees. What happened to using the radio? After all that bad judgement and careless/wreckless behavior on part of the police officer the suspect was not even captured! A truck loaded with trees still managed to outwit a high performance cruiser in the hands of an (what I assume) inexperienced officer who should have utilized the radio more than the gas pedal.
Update: Tree thief found in Irvington and returned to Summerdale Police. 6-12-08
