In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful.

We have deceived for this. We have tricked for this. We have lied for this. We have killed for this. At the death of our loved ones, we have fought over this and what this could buy of material things. I want to talk about the dollar, but I want to start with something that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said since he’s my teacher, and the base of what I’m going to say is in his book, “The Fall of America.”

On page 87, he talks about the “Decline of the dollar”. If it is the Will of Allah (God), I hope to be able to show you why we can no longer trust in this (dollar) as the God we trust.

We should learn, and quickly, who is the God that we should put our trust in. Putting trust in this, (dollar) in a few days you are going to see men with hundred dollar bills lighting their cigars because the value of this dollar will be worthless.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad writes, “The stronghold of the American government is falling to pieces. She has lost her prestige among the nations of the earth. One of the greatest powers of America was”—past tense— “her dollar. The loss of such power will bring any nation to weakness, for this is the media of exchange between nations. The English pound and the American dollar have been the power and beckoning light of these two great powers.”—America and the United Kingdom—“But when the world went off the gold and silver standard, the financial doom of England and America was sealed.”

At the time of his writing, the British pound had already lost 50 percent of its value. The American dollar has lost everything now as backing for her currency, which once was backed by gold. For every $5 note and up, you could take this paper and go to a bank and get $5 in gold; and from the $1 note up, you could go to the bank and get silver.

Now, you can’t get gold, you can’t get silver. When this falls, you can’t get anything for the dollars that you fight over, that you hoard, that we amass. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad writes, “The note today is something that the Government declares they will give you the value in return, but does not name what that value is.” Then he writes, “This is the number one fall.” Therefore, the fall of the dollar is the number one fall, and when it falls, everything else will come down after it.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad doesn’t go on to prophesy what will happen if there’s 100 percent inflation. He said, “Your guess is as good as mine.” What should we expect, he said, even in the next 12 months? Well, I think there’s enough information today that we might be able to safely predict what we’re going to face in the next 12 months, in the next 24 months, in the next three years, in the next five years. We don’t have a lot of time.

All of us that are Christians, and I say this to my Muslim family, this is a Christian country. No matter how much we love the Holy Qur’an and the beauty of the Holy Qur’an, you cannot converse with the people of America unless you develop a good understanding of that which they believe in. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is our example. He could talk to Christians, to Jews, to Zoroastrians, it didn’t make any difference what their religion was, he knew something about what they believed. He could teach them out of their books, then bring them to the book that Allah (God) was revealing to him.

Having said that, we shall open to the Book of Revelations. We shall start with the 17th Chapter because it’s very important that we understand what John, the Revelator was seeing of the time, because it’s clear that we are living in the end times. Every sign that you could think of that the Bible and the Prophets foretold, you can see it already manifesting. We are living at the end of this system of things.

John, the Revelator says, “An angel came and he carried me away in the spirit, into the wilderness.” This word “wilderness,” is an important word. What wilderness? A wilderness is a place that’s uncultivated, undeveloped and here John is carried into the wilderness. I’m going to make it a little plainer as time goes on by the guidance of Allah (God) and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. “And I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet colored beast, full of the names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns; The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, decked with gold and precious stones and she had a golden cup in her hand that was full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication.” Now, that’s a heck of a description. A man carried out in the wilderness. He sees a woman decked in all this finery, sitting on a beast. Well, what kind of a place is that for a dignified woman, sitting on a beast? And the woman had gold and precious stones and pearls. I mean she had money, and more than money she had material substance. But the woman was holding a cup in her hand that was gold, but in it was abomination and the filthiness of her fornication.

“And upon her head was a name written, Mystery Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth.” This woman was so unclean that she was called, “the mother of harlots.”

She was not only the mother of these kinds of women (harlots), she was the mother of the abominations that were practiced throughout the earth. John the Revelator continues, “And I saw that woman drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.” She was wicked. Then the scripture said that she had seven heads and ten horns.

John, the Revelator said, “I’m going to tell you the mystery of the beast that carried her which had seven heads and ten horns.” John, the Revelator said it meant seven mountains and the ten horns, which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore and make her desolate, naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

And then another angel came and he cried mightily with a strong voice saying, “Babylon, the Great is Fallen and is become the habitation of devils; and the hold of every foul spirit and a cage for every unclean and hateful bird.” John says; “for all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.”

Let’s look at a few definitions here. This Babylon was called Mystery Babylon. “Mystery.” We know the history of ancient Babylon, that’s not a mystery. This one is a Mystery Babylon. According to the dictionary, mystery is “something not fully understood.” It’s “a religious truth, comprehensible only by divine revelation.” The Old Testament says that Babylon could have been healed. No matter how bad Babylon was, Babylon could have been healed, but she was not. Her rulers were so arrogant in ancient Babylon. They had the people of God in their midst. They had defiled the people of God and they did not want to release them so that God could use them. So that started a fight with God. Ancient Babylon was so blind by her own sense of power, that she refused to consult history that would have taught her that no enemy has ever won a fight against God.

Babylon rejected the warner that God had placed in her midst. So the neighboring nations rose up against Babylon and Babylon was destroyed and the neighboring nations that dealt with her felt the weight of her fall, because her fall contributed to their fall, because Babylon was a world power.

Now, we’re not talking about ancient Babylon. We’re referring today to the Mystery Babylon that is found in the book of Revelations that gives us a hint of the end times. This Mystery Babylon was holding a golden cup. It was gold on the outside. She represented this mother of harlots. The gold cup represented something so precious, so foundational to success as gold on the outside. Purified material that was formed into a cup that beckoned the world to such a beautiful exterior, but inside she was filled with abominations and filth of every kind. The standard that Babylon represented was freedom, justice, equity, the rule of the masses. She represented material strength, where one’s needs could be fulfilled and all within her society could be whatever they determined they wanted to be.

She was a golden chalice/cup on the outside, but unfortunately, the scripture teaches that she was filled with filth and abomination of every kind on the inside. When our behavior is abominable, it means our conduct is so bad that it incites the loathing and hatred of God for that conduct. So, the woman had incurred God’s wrath. Allah’s (God’s) first effort is to warn that we have incurred his displeasure which would soon bring about his wrath.

Mercy and grace takes precedence over punishment. He always raises a warner to warn us that we are in a dangerous condition or position; but in that warner is a healing for that society and a healing for the people if the people would heed the warning. So, ancient Babylon could have been healed but she was not. The scripture says, “Babylon, the Great, is fallen.” The scripture didn’t say, Babylon, the Great, will fall. Babylon, the Great, has fallen. It says, “Babylon, the Great, is fallen.” “Is” represents a state of being, but it’s present tense. It means that the process of the fall has already begun. It means that the very thing that any great nation is afraid of, has already happened and all we’re waiting for is the ultimate crash of what has started the fall, because gravity does not permit you to check your fall.

Why is Babylon falling? She has become the habitation of devils. Habitation means the act of inhabiting or the state of being inhabited, a natural environment, or locality, a place of abode or residence, a native habitat. The environment of Babylon is so loathsome, so putrid, so filthy, that it is a natural environment for devils. It says it’s the hole of every foul spirit. A hole is a deep, dark crevice that an animal burrows in and finds a hole.

This Babylon is a deep, dark hole and it contains every foul spirit and it is a cage, a home, for every unclean and hateful bird. In “The Fall of America,” by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, he talks about certain birds. Now, the Bible and Holy Qur’an use birds, beasts and fish to describe the characteristics of human beings. You have an owl. You have a crow. You have a buzzard. You have a raven. These are the things that eat on the flesh of others. Now, this place is a place for every unclean and hateful bird. I don’t want to keep you in suspense, but this Mystery Babylon, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches us is the United States of America. Her influence is all over the world and she has spread her filth and abomination in every nation of the earth and all the nations have drunk of the wine of committing fornication with America.

Yes, it is true and it’s unfortunate that it is true that America’s environment is so foul that it has become the natural place of anybody who wants to rebel against submission to the Will of God.

Nineteen ninety-two marked the quincentennial year of the opening up of the “New World” for the purpose of Western domination. Christopher Columbus is said to have “discovered” this new continent in 1492. Since 1492 the Native American people have been misused, abused and then neglected. Since 1555, the Black people brought to these shores in chains have also been misused, abused and now remain neglected.

Even though the country was populated by so-called Indians, and Black slaves were brought to build the country, the official Seal of the country was never designed to reflect our presence, only that of the European immigrants. The Seal and the Constitution reflect the thinking of the founding fathers that this was to be a nation by White people and for White people. Native Americans, Blacks and all other non-white people were to be the burden bearers for the “real” citizens of this nation.

For the reverse (back) of the Seal, the committee suggested a picture of Pharaoh sitting in an open chariot with a crown on his head and a sword in his hand, passing through the divided waters of the Red Sea in pursuit of the Israelites. Hovering over the sea was to be shown a pillar of fire in a cloud, expressive of the Divine presence and command. Rays from this pillar of fire were to be shown beaming on Moses, standing on the shore and extending his hand over the sea, causing it to overwhelm Pharaoh. The motto for the reverse was: REBELLION TO TYRANTS IS OBEDIENCE TO GOD.

The design reveals the spiritual blindness inherent in the genesis of the United States. The founding fathers upheld obedience to God as their symbol while practicing genocide, colonialism and slavery among the native population and our forebears.

It was Thomas Jefferson who said, “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just and that His justice cannot sleep forever.” It was George Washington who said that he feared the slaves would become a most troublesome species of property before too many years passed over our heads.

America is faced with the political and moral dilemma of reconciling pluralism and the inclusion of nonwhites with the democratic ideas espoused by the founding fathers. This is not a democracy in the fullest meaning of the word. Racism has to be overcome in order to gain a full expression of E Pluribus Unum (out of the many, one). Is E Pluribus Unum meant to be interpreted as “out of many White ethnic strains, one people,” or “out of the many strains, White, Black and other, one people?”

Within the walls of this country there are two Americas, separate and unequal, White and Black (including the other non-whites). In order to reconcile these two Americas, the American people must come to terms with the limited vision of the founding fathers. The founding fathers didn’t envision the current population profile, where the number of Black and Hispanic people are growing, threatening the majority states of Whites. Those who desire to maintain the old vision of White rule under the name of democracy and pluralism will no longer be able to continue the subjugation of non-whites. Now is the time for freedom, justice and equality for those who have been deprived if it.

It was made easy for Whites to subjugate others because they were taught to see Blacks and Native Americans as heathen, savage and sub-human. This, in their minds, justified their not recognizing us as equal citizens in this country. Bearing this in mind, that the original Seal should include a picture of Pharaoh pursuing the Israelites is not without great significance. That it should include a pillar of fire in a cloud, beaming down on Moses, is not without significance for this day and time.

In my judgment, the original Seal was inspired to give America a picture of what her future could become if she did not do justice by the Native Americans and by the Blacks who were brought here as her slaves.

Even though America says she wants change and renewal, she must deal with the basis of this country’s woes. Either she must evolve from the limited vision of the founding fathers and repudiate that vision, or America must say that she believes in the true vision of the founding fathers and that the darker people will never be respected as equals inside of this nation....

Integration, as it has been conceived, is not working to bring true freedom, justice and equality to America’s former slaves. It is not working because it was not properly motivated and is not in harmony with the mandate of the time.

We do not want or need that kind of integration that literally results in nothing in terms of economic advancement for our people. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said that if we wanted better relations between Black and White, he could show us how to achieve this. As Black people, we first have to come into a knowledge of self that will help us make ourselves worthy of respect and our communities decent places in which to live. We must begin to do something for self. This act on our part will earn the respect of self as well as others. It will ultimately help us to have better relations with those who see us as an unwanted burden in this society.

The focus of Black people should be on elevating self, not on trying to force ourselves into the communities of White people. Self respecting White men do not want to see us with their women. One way to have good race relations is to leave their women and girls alone. Some of us have a false love for the White woman, and some of us have a false love for the White man. Some want the former slave master’s woman because the former slave master has always had free access to our women, and some want the White man because he wields great power in the society.

In a painful recount of the position our freed forbears found themselves after Emancipation, W.E.B. DuBois wrote:

“For the first time he sought to analyze the burden he bore upon his back, that deadweight of social degradation partially masked behind a half-named Negro problem. He felt his poverty; without a cent, without a home, without land, tools, or savings, he had entered into competition with rich, landed, skilled neighbors. To be a poor man is hard, but to be a poor race in a land of dollars is the very bottom of hardships. He felt the weight of his ignorance, not simply of letters, but of life, of business, of the humanities; the accumulated sloth and shirking and awkwardness of decades and centuries shackled his hands and feet. Nor was his burden all poverty and ignorance. The red stain of bastardy, which two centuries of systematic legal defilement of Negro women had stamped upon his race, meant not only the loss of ancient African chastity, but also the hereditary weight of a mass of corruption from White adulterers, threatening almost the obliteration of the Negro home.” ...

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us to take our own women and girls and respect, honor and protect them. He taught us to work hard to produce a future for our children, to rid ourselves of alcohol, tobacco, gambling, laziness and dependency; and to work to make our neighborhoods decent places for us to live. This kind of action on our part could lead to a healthier relationship between the races.

Certainly if we look at our females as that which God produced for us, then we would have to expect the White man to leave our women and girls alone. True love, however, transcends color and race. We must ask the question of those who have gone the way of having interracial relations, is the love a true love, or is it merely an acting out of a corrupted fantasy which is held by both Black and White? When we, as a people, are healed of our mental, moral and spiritual sickness, then maybe we can look across racial lines and see the true value and worth of one another. However, healing of the deadly diseases of White supremacy and Black inferiority has to take place first!

I have to stand and speak for the voiceless, whose leadership has often been quiet or weak in the face of an open enemy. Although I have been misrepresented by the media, here is a new opportunity to receive my message and judge it against the criterion of truth.

Am I really an anti-Semite? Am I really a hater? Can these charges really be proven? When people disagree, the intelligent and rational thing to do is to have a dialogue. Perhaps through dialogue differences can be reconciled. If anything that I have said or written is proved to be a lie, then I will retract my words and apologize before the world.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us that the way to stop back-biting and slander is to gather the parties together and allow them to present their charges and evidence to each other’s face, then we will know where the truth rests and where the lie rests. We are willing to sit and meet before the world and discuss our position. We recognize the ability of the American government and business community to help the Black community. The Nation of Islam, in turn, can help America solve its problems. But we cannot solve any problems by bowing down to falsehood.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad pointed out to us that Babylon, that great and wicked city, could have been healed. She was not healed because she refused to listen to guidance coming to her kings from the mouth of one of her Hebrew slaves. He pointed this out to indicate that America, though dying, can also be healed.

In the design for the original Seal for this country, the pillar of fire in a cloud, expressive of the Divine presence and command—that was also written of in the Bible as seen in a vision by Ezekiel—is now a reality in America. In the Seal’s design, the reason that Pharaoh was depicted with a sword in his hand is to symbolize America’s pursuit of world dominion by way of skilled machinations backed up by force. America has held a whole nation in captivity for over 400 years-–even as Pharaoh did in the biblical history of Moses and the ancient Hebrews—and she has done so by use of force and wicked machinations. The beam of light that was seen shining down on the face of Moses in the design for the original Seal of this country is a sign that the light from God is now beaming down on one from among the ex-slaves. In that light is the guidance that can heal America, the modern Babylon and the modern Egypt. Will America be healed? ...

We have the torch light. America is being challenged to take the bushel basket off the light. Let us sit down and talk about bringing real solutions before the American people, as civilized people should and are obligated to do.

The Kingdom of God is an egalitarian kingdom structured on truth, where each of us will be treated with fairness and justice. America could become the basis for the Kingdom of God. She has within her borders every nation, kindred and tongue. If they could be made peaceful, productive and mutually respecting, you would have the basis for the Kingdom of God right here on earth.

However, what America does not have is the teaching that would make one people out of the many creeds, colors and nationalities that occupy this land. That teaching cannot be the skilled wisdom from the political leadership that subordinates the language and culture of America’s diverse members, while lifting the American way of life as the model – which is very racist and White supremacist in nature. The current American way of life can only produce an apparent unity among Caucasians, because it negates the diversity and beauty of the non-White population. You can never achieve unity, or E Pluribus Unum, in this country under the doctrine of White supremacy.

America needs a spiritual healing. In the scriptures it reads, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (II Chronicles 7:14) This is the promise of God for us, and for all of America. Moses and Aaron set two signs before the people, one of life and a blessing, and the other of death and a cursing. He said, “… choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” (Deuteronomy 30:19) The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Louis Farrakhan say to America the same.

W e need to humble ourselves and pray to Allah, God, so that we might receive that same spiritual message that Paul refers to in his words concerning Christ. Paul said, in Christ, “There is no Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galations 3:28) Paul envisioned the end of nationalism, the end of classism and the end of sexism. He envisioned it through the true message of the man called Christ.

Even though America claims to be a Christian country, America, evidently, has missed the message of Christ, or has yet to receive His true message. However, once that true message is given, those who truly want righteousness, justice and peace will gravitate toward that message and they could form the basis of the Kingdom of God on earth. This can be achieved by establishing the truth that frees White people from the sickness of White supremacy and frees Black people from the sickness of Black inferiority, and lifts us up from an inferior condition and mentality—setting a new standard by which we all should live. The new standard is duty to God and service to our fellow man.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us that the greatest of all religious principles is to follow the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and love for your brother what you love for yourself.

A nation is no greater than its service to the weak and the poor and the disadvantaged of that nation. If we believe in the scriptures, particularly of the Bible and the New Testament, Jesus lays out a yardstick that will be the determining criterion of the Judgment of God of a nation in the last days. Certainly in a country that professes to be a Christian country based on a Judeo-Christian ethic, this criterion should be held high as the measuring stick to help us to see how far off the country is and what danger the country is in by measuring its distance from the criterion.

What is the criterion laid down by the Master, Himself, who will be judging? One of the disciples asked the Master (Jesus), when he gave them the criterion that they should minister unto the sick, the imprisoned, and those out of doors: “When were you sick and imprisoned and we ministered not unto you? When were you homeless or out of doors and we gave you not shelter? Master, when were you without and we did not for you?” And the Master said, “In as much as you have not done this to the least of these, my brethren, you have not done it also unto me.” The Master laid down the criterion.

In America, we have millions today who are homeless. We have many more millions who are sick, imprisoned, impoverished and weak, and it appears as though the conservative element of the country is moving away from care for the poor, the weak, the helpless, and the children and catering to the desires of those that have. But it is the poor and the weak who built the country. It is the poor and the weak who have fought, bled and died to maintain America as a great nation. Now America is turning her back on the weak and blaming the condition of the country on the poor, on the Black, on the Hispanic. In reality, the mismanagement of the wealth and people of this country is the fault of those who are at the top who have held power, who have manipulated the masses of the people against the good of America and the good of the world.

How will America answer to Christ, with human beings sleeping under bridges and America is spending over half a trillion dollars to bail out the savings and loan industry, but won’t spend money to bail out those veterans who fought, bled and died, who are sleeping under bridges, who have fallen on hard times, whose homes and cars have been repossessed?

What is America coming to? The cities are filled with crime and violence. People can’t walk the streets in safety. The elderly of the nation are preyed upon by wicked, unscrupulous people who sometimes rob them of their life savings and of their little social security checks. The babies of the nation are abused, murdered, drowned in hot water, even put in ovens by their parents. The stress of life in America is such that some parents can’t handle the crying of children. So babies are coming to hospitals dying of trauma, shock, their heads bashed, thrown against the wall, thrown out of windows by parents who have had enough. Young girls in a sex-mad society are having their sexual nature titillated by sick television programs, sick movies, sick video tapes, sick songs from a sick, decadent culture that is using the talent of gifted people to spread degenerate life in the name of music and art. Babies are having their sexual nature titillated. Mothers are not home because they have to work. Daughters are left to be savaged by brutal men, sometimes their own fathers and uncles, cousins and brothers. And we ask, “What is the world coming to?”

America the beautiful is becoming America the ugly. They say love her or leave her. We have no place to go. Some of us will say we will run to Africa. But Africa is suffering, too. We say we will run to Europe. Be careful. We say we will run to South America or to Mexico. There is no hiding place today. The Judgment of God has touched every nation in every corner of the globe.

This is a beautiful country, but the human beings within it are being turned into something that God Himself is angry at and sick of. To make God angry is to incur His wrath. John the Revelator said, “And the nations were angry and Thy wrath is come. It is the time of the dead that they should be judged and given justice.” Everywhere you look people are angry. You get on the subway and look in their faces, you don’t see peace. You drive your car, you can hardly find humanitarian gestures. People will kill you over a parking space; kill you over a place in line in the bank or in the supermarket. Arguments are breaking out in the home and now the schools are battlegrounds. There is no peace anywhere to be found.

Not only are the nations angry, but God is angry. He is angry at what He is looking at—debauchery and filth paraded as morality—and if you speak against it, you are considered something ugly. If a pastor speaks against homosexuality, he is called homophobic. If he speaks against lesbianism, he is not up to speed. He is living in old times. If we take a moral stand against adultery and fornication, we are out of touch with reality. If we criticize our government for its corruption, we are called un-American. If we criticize the behavior of White people in their injustice toward Blacks, and if we as Black people want to come together and find some solace and peace among ourselves, we are called racists in reverse.

So we better not even speak the truth because if you speak the truth, somebody is going to get hurt. But truth is your best friend, because truth will give us a mirror to allow us to see ourselves and how far off we are from the standard of God. Somebody has to tell the truth. Somebody has to be willing to pay the price of the truth. Truth is more important than our little positions. Truth is more important than being a mayor or a police chief or a senator or a cardinal or a pope or an imam or the President of the United States. Truth is bigger than us all.

The Holy Qur’an teaches us that Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth. This universe is sustained with truth. There is no position of power that can be sustained over any long period of time based on falsehood and injustice. What did we see in Oklahoma? What was it that had us mesmerized? It’s a wake up call. White folks have always thought it was Black people they had to watch out for. White folks have always feared Black unity as though our unity would mean that we would do to them what they and their fathers have done and continue to do to us. How much they misread Black people. They don’t mind us having guns, as long as we shoot one another. But they only give you enough to get you in trouble with yourself.

I have warned, by the Grace of God, in the past that trouble would not come from us, but America’s trouble would come from her own dissatisfied White people of this nation who are fed up with the government and the government’s misrepresentation of the Constitution and of what the founding fathers of this nation set in motion.

Terrorism is an act of desperation of men and women who refuse to believe that any avenue for the redress of their grievance will be listened to. Consequently, they feel they must take the matter of justice into their own hands. When a people are deprived of justice, their minds become imbalanced. That’s why justice is represented by a female holding a scale with a blindfold over her eyes, that she is not to see who you are, your station in life, what your color, culture, or national origin is, how much money you have or don’t have, how much education you have or don’t have. Justice should be blind to adjust the scale; the weight of facts in one hand and the weight of action in accord with facts on the other, giving balance. And when you live in a world whose very root is unjust, it is only a matter of time before the injustice carried on by those in high places reaches down to infants, and the scale becomes so imbalanced that the people lose the ability to see correctly, hear correctly, perceive correctly. That imbalance is referred to as insanity. Sanity and sanitary deals with cleanliness, and that which is unclean is unsanitary. Unsanitary leads to disease, and disease, unsanitary, unclean is the same as insane.

Brother Farrakhan, are you saying that every insane person is unclean? Every person that is insane is possessed of an unclean spirit. And when your mind is imbalanced, you do things that are unclean. You will defecate on yourself. You will urinate on yourself. You will do unsocial things, unclean things. You don’t think you are doing anything wrong because in your own mind you are all right, because you have lost the standard by which decency and sanity and cleanliness is measured. A Muslim could not be a terrorist because no Muslim is so hopeless that he denies Allah’s sufficiency that he has to kill and maim and brutalize innocent people to make a sad, silly point.

In the Bible, God says, “I will give you your own blood to drink and you will be drunk with your own blood as with sweet wine.” America is becoming a boiling cauldron of gross dissatisfaction. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said 30 percent dissatisfaction could lead to a change that affects 75 percent of the world. But when you get 100 percent dissatisfaction, it leads to a total change. What you have all over the earth is total dissatisfaction and this is why Jesus said there would be wars and rumors of wars and kingdom would rise against kingdom, and nation against nation. And this is just the beginning of sorrow. There would be famine, pestilence and earthquakes in diverse places. Is not that what you are seeing?

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to me that Justice is a Law that distinguishes between right and wrong. It goes to sleep with you. It wakes up with you. Whether you are knowledgeable of that Law or not, it is alive and working either with you, for you or against you, regardless to what the courts do. The Law of Justice, the balance that God set up in the universe, you can’t escape it. The fool thinks in his heart, “I have gotten away with my evil.” What a fool you are indeed. God says in the Bible: “Whatsoever is done in the dark, I am going to bring it forth into the light.” The Holy Qur’an says: “Though it be the weight of an atom, hidden in a rock and the rock buried in the earth,” He said, “Yet will I bring it forth.”

The Bible teaches, “Prepare slaughter for the children for the iniquities of their fathers.” You think you are getting away? My silly little brother, you reefer smoking, coke using, crack sniffing, liquor drinking, freakish acting brother, you think you are getting away because there are no police around? The police are there. Not the city police, but the police of the Law of God. You use crack and the crack affects your brain, but not just your brain. It affects the head of the sperm, and it affects the egg. You are passing on your sin to your unborn generation. You are passing on your filth and your degeneracy to your babies, and they will be made to die for your craziness. Nobody gets away.

In the Bible, there is a creature, a monster, at the depth of the sea. The Bible calls him Leviathan. You can go in the depths of the sea all you want, you are not going to see a monster that look’s like Leviathan. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said Leviathan represents the destructive force of submarines that are at the depth of the sea, and they bring destruction, but there is a way to bring those (submarines) up. He said all God has to do is bring a wind, and let the wind start coming in a circular motion, turning, whipping the waves, and as it whips and turns, the waves disturb the submarine on the bottom. The nose (of the submarine) starts coming up because the water is disturbing it. As the water further disturbs the submarine it starts getting straight. It’s coming now. Then the waters part and come back together, and when you see the waves part and then come back together, the ship is gone.

That is the same way it is with secrets. You have this thought laying on your mind, and you have suppressed it to the depth. “I know it’s there, but”—and all on the top is a false laugh, false this and a false that because you are conscious that the secret is laying there. Then all of a sudden God sends winds, turbulent things in your life that begin to swirl around you. The winds of confusion are bringing it to the surface, and all of a sudden you may see a little something, just a word spoken, but the word is telling you about something else that is laying deep under. All of us have something that we don’t want somebody else to know. The Bible teaches, “Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord doth hide.”

A World in Peril

Wicked people are never pleased at hearing the truth, but we live at a time when there must be present in the world those who are willing to speak the truth regardless of whom or what, and suffer the necessary consequences of telling the truth at the time of the demise of this present world.

The context of this message is a world in peril. The context of the phenomenal rise of Barack Obama is a world and a nation in peril. When you and I think of the conditions in America and the conditions in the world, where in the scriptures do we find a prophecy that fits the condition of America and the condition of the world?

In the New Testament, in 2 Timothy 3:1-5, it reads: “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come; For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. Unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good. Traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.” So Paul says to Timothy, “From such people, turn away.”

We are just not living in a time of universal integration. The hope of every decent human being is to see all human beings loving each other, at peace with each other, enjoying the spirit of brotherly love. That is the hope and the desire of every good person on this earth. The hope is not wrong, but there are those who don’t want that.

You cannot unite with wickedness if you love righteousness. You can’t have fellowship with this world that is in its last days and have the love of God at the same time. Now, either Jesus’ teaching is right, or he’s just wrong. In the Book of James, Jesus said, “The love of this world is enmity with God.” So if you like the way this world has tailored you and fashioned you; fashioned your neighbor, fashioned your school, fashioned your life—if you love that, something is wrong with you. But if you are dissatisfied with this world, and hate what this world has done and is doing to children, to women, to men, to nations, to governments, then you must be a seeker of truth, because it is only after knowing the truth that you will be able to see clearly. Not only see the condition that you are in, but the condition that the world in which we live is in.

The enemy’s ‘litmus test’ for Black leadership

No one can make an intelligent decision without being properly informed. This is why this world wants to control the media. This is why media hype can take you up and take you down, so you don’t know anymore who is really good, because the media can make a wicked man look good and make a good man look evil. That is why people in Jesus’ time said, “Crucify him.” If they were well informed they would never have chosen a thief.

The enemy is working right now. He wants to find a way to get at Farrakhan. What is wrong with Farrakhan that you have to make Farrakhan a “litmus test” for any Black person who strives for betterment; for elevation in the society? The enemy says, “Let’s give them ‘The Farrakhan Test.” Now, I’ve taken tests, but I have never been in a classroom where a test is only applied to one student in the class. If you’re going to give somebody a litmus test, give the test to all of them. Don’t single out one man, Sen. Barack Obama, and say, “Well, let’s give him ‘The Farrakhan Test.’” Why not give it to Senator Clinton?

What are you trying to do to our Brother? Why do you hate him so, that you want to make me a stumbling block for him? That is why you have never heard me make any comment. I love that Brother, and I want to see that Brother successful! I don’t want to say anything that would hurt that Brother, and I don’t want them to use me or the Nation of Islam. I didn’t tell anybody who to vote for; do what you want to do. I have taught you enough sense that I know you will vote your self interest, if you know what your self interest is.

America is spiraling downward

Right now, we can see extreme weather plaguing the United States, from floods, drought and famine—these are no longer just biblical prophecies. We see the drying up of lakes and rivers and water diminishing in certain areas to such a degree that states are now quarreling over who is going to get to use the water. Rare winter tornadoes in the Midwest; powerful Pacific storms with hurricane-force winds, fires, and mudslides; severe flooding in the Southwest; and over 1,000 cities in America experiencing record-high temperatures. Farmland once used to grown corn and soy beans for human consumption is now being used to make bio fuels for industrial consumption, which is naturally raising the price of food. Oil prices reaching over $100 a barrel.

How does that affect America? How much money do you have in your pocket, and how long will it mean anything? The dollar is collapsing against other currencies in the world. China has over one trillion U.S. dollars in her reserves, and they, along with Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia, may now own a substantial part of this nation. America is for sale. General Motors just said they lost over $30 billion. When the automobile industry in America is shutting down and steel mills are closing, you are being put out of a job.

Where will Pres. Bush get the money for the $150 billion he’s going to give back in a “stimulus package”? You know, when your heart is messed up they give you stimulation to keep you from dying, so Pres. Bush is offering a stimulus package to a dying economy. You’re in it; you are partying—but you don’t know what’s going on. You’re living from day to day, and your world can collapse in the twinkling of an eye.

The Gods Are At War

When we come close to home, there has never been as much dissatisfaction with government as we see in America right now. Pres. Bush has the lowest approval rating of any president in modern history. The Congress of the United States is just a hair or two above the president in approval from the American people. When the American people are so dissatisfied with their government, dissatisfaction is what brings about change. The greater the dissatisfaction, it means universal change.

Shootings on college campuses; people coming into churches shooting down pastors? Mothers putting their babies in the microwave? The country is spiraling downward. There is a high level of stress that we see manifested in children 10-years-old having strokes, diabetes, lethal obesity and heart problems. There are new and incurable diseases, viruses and plagues sweeping across the country. And guess what? Every day they are reporting more and more of these sightings of these so-called Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). It is hard for America to admit that a greater intelligence, a greater technology, a greater science is in the world than anything that they know or ever conceived of.

Why is all this happening at this time? It is because The Gods Are At War. And you don’t even know that The War has already started, and you are being victimized right now by the arch deceiver, who sees his world coming down, unraveling. And at the same time, we are witnessing the phenomenal rise of a man of color in a country that has persecuted us because of our color. Yet, this young man is capturing audiences of Black, Brown,
White, Native American, and Asian.

Barack Obama: America’s best hope for change?

If you look at Barack Obama’s audiences, and look at the affect of his words, those people are being transformed from what they were. His language is raising them above their racial, ethnic, cultural, religious differences, and he is welding people into a bond that has never been seen before. You might say, “Gee. I don’t think Barack is Black enough.” He wasn’t supposed to be. If you want a Black leader, there is Reverend Jackson; there is Reverend Sharpton; and there is Louis Farrakhan—we are Black people, and we don’t apologize. But it is difficult for somebody that has an all-Black district to understand the skill and wisdom of a man who is not the Black candidate, but the American candidate, who wants to unite the American people. You may not agree with him, then stand on the sideline and watch. It’s never been done before.

A lot of impediments have been thrown in his path, but he seems to get around them, and there’s more to come. If this man is doing something that has never been done before by any politician, White or Black, where is God in this, and why now? We have never seen Caucasian people vote like this for a man of color.

Let’s look at it for a second: What’s going on? Who is this young man? When The Gods Are At War, you have to understand the kind of world that God wants to bring in against the kind of world that we live in that Satan has brought in. Right now, there are Caucasian people who don’t see Barack Obama’s color. They see that man as the only one able to save this country from itself.

The Valley of Decision

Now, I’m a dispassionate person; I am not political. I am not asking anyone to vote for anybody, because I know in the end the outcome is all in the Hand of God, and those are the hands that I want to be in. But when I see politicians like Tom Daschle saying, “Look, this Obama guy: He’s got something,” or when I saw Ted Kennedy introduce Barack with a passion that I had not seen in Mr. Kennedy for a long time, I said, “What is it that they see?” There is no racism in a foxhole! The hardest racist is not going to tell a Black hand, “Keep your Black hand off of me,” when they are dying in a foxhole! They will say to the Black hand: “Can you help me? Can you help us?”

Some say Mr. Obama doesn’t have experience. Nobody, White or Black, has experience to deal with the fall and decline of a world and the greatest nation in that world. It is not experience that is needed. The Bible teaches, “Where there is no vision, the people perish,” and that is where Mr. Obama is ranking over all of them.

Look at Brother Barack Obama’s cultural ties: His White nurturing; having visited Indonesia; being born in Hawaii—there is not any politician that has that kind of root. He went to Africa, and how did they receive him? Do you think they would trust him in Africa as a President of the United States, that he might help to reshape America’s foreign policy toward Africa? How would they see him in the Middle East? How would they see him in Central and South America? How would they see him in Asia? Whether you are broad enough to open your eyes, this young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better, because a better man may become her leader.

This is why I chose the subject “The Gods At War: The Future Is All About You; all about Youth.” You have to make decisions today for your life, and you have to be informed to make the right decision. They say that when war is fought, the first casualty is truth. If The Gods Are At War, who are they? Where are they? Can we see them? Because all of us are in The Valley of Decision, can we be taught enough about them that we might choose which one of them we will follow?

Master Fard Muhammad: The Saviour Has Come

If the future is all about you, individually; and you, plural; and it’s all about youth, I would like to close my subject today concerning The Man Whose Birth we came here to celebrate.

We have been taught by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad that Master Fard Muhammad had a Black father and a White mother. The man that we call our Saviour was born of the two people. I was on an airplane one day with one of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s sons, Jabar Muhammad, who asked me: “Why do you think Master Fard Muhammad had a Black father and a White mother?” I answered, “So that He could give justice to both people.”

God is real. Satan is real. Both God and Satan have been hidden under a cloud. I am not going into it today, but before this series of lectures are over, you are going to see Satan exactly how Satan looks. That is why we will be hated of all men. You, my beloved Christian family, you do not understand Jesus The Christ. You don’t understand him. I know that seems rather arrogant for me to say something like that, but I am not trying to be arrogant. Jesus is the instrument that God will use to uncover, reveal and destroy Satan and his power to deceive. The Christ figure of the New Testament is the same as The Mahdi in Islamic theology. The Mahdi is a human being Who comes into the world to sit down every tyrant and set justice in the earth. No man; no human could do that unless He was operating under The Power of The Eternal God, so The Mahdi becomes The Manifestation of God in Person.

For those of you who believe in Jesus Christ, Jesus is not a little “rooty-poot” fellow. From the Christian perspective, Jesus is the greatest human being in human history. Jesus The Christ redeems the whole of humanity, breaks the power of Satan, crushes Satan’s world and brings in a new and better world where human beings can live together in peace and brotherhood. When the scriptures talk of Christ, and when they talk about The Mahdi, they never talk in racial terms. With Christ there is no Jew, no Greek, no male, no female, no bond and no free. All are one in Christ.

When you look at the line from Prophet Muhammad to Muhammad The Mahdi, you can’t bring color into it. In reality, you defile Islam because The Mahdi, from the lineage of the Prophet, is not to set up one color against another; one race against another; one ethnicity against another—The Mahdi is to raise human beings where color sinks into insignificance, and character and moral correctness is the yard stick by which you measure True Greatness.

Master Fard Muhammad looked White, but he was not White. That made it easier for Him to come in among us. White people didn’t suspect Him because He looked like one of their own. The scripture says, “I come as a thief in the night. I come without observation.” Somebody came; how do you know? Because things have never been the same since He came for Black people. We have been constantly on the move; moving on up. There is no stopping us now! God is not raising us that we should be mockers of other people or that we should talk about how great we are and how little they are. God is raising us to do a great service for our people and for the whole of humanity.

Master Fard Muhammad first talked to us on our Blackness. He was of a Black father and a White mother, but He knew that the enemy had robbed us of the knowledge of self, so He talked to us on our Blackness to try to get us to see the value of who we are. Master Fard Muhammad taught us the nature of the Caucasian people; how they came into existence and their purpose. It wasn’t about hate. It was about absolute science. Master Fard Muhammad wasn’t trying to make a nation of haters; He was trying to raise a Nation of Scientists who are going to have to deal with the whole human family and the problems of the human family, starting first with the problems of self.

A Herald for The Messiah

Some people think Barack Obama should wait 10-12 years before he running for president, thinking that he would be more “seasoned” and “mature.” But America doesn’t have that long to wait, at the rate she’s going.

Barack Obama said “My time is now.” Don’t worry about his shoulders; God never lays on a soul a burden beyond its scope. Would God allow Barack to be president of a country that has been so racist; so evil in its mistreatment of Hispanics, Native Americans, Indians, Blacks? Would God do something like that? Yes, of course He would. That is to show you that the stone that the builders have rejected is becoming the headstone of the corner. This is a sign to you. It is the time of our rise. It is the time that we should take our place. The Future is All About You.

I ask that we pray for our Brother, Barack Obama. I am not asking for votes. I am asking a Nation—not just the Nation of Islam, but all people of good will—to pray for this young man. Pray for his family. Pray for his blessed wife and children, we don’t want to see another Coretta Scott King.

This man says he not only is talking about changing who sits in the White House; he is talking about changing the mindset of those that led us into the war in Iraq. Did you hear Alan Greenspan, the former head of the Federal Reserve, say that the war in Iraq is all about oil? You mean our sons and our daughters are dying and being maimed over America’s junkie spirit toward oil? Did you read that the amount of oil that is under the ground in Iraq is $30 trillion? That is why Republican Presidential candidate John McCain said, “We need to stay there about a hundred years. We need to make sure that we get this thing.”

Brothers and Sisters, Barack Obama, to me, is a herald of The Messiah. Barack Obama is like the trumpet that alerts you that something new; something better is on the way. Do you know the kind of fear that he is evoking in those that have the mindset that sent America to war? Do you think the international bankers that control all the politicians of the world are going to allow this young man to change the mindset of those that rule who are really Satanic? What is in their hearts toward that young man?

Our Youth: God’s Instruments for Universal Change

One of the Brothers went to a shop the other day, and the Caucasian owner of the shop said, “You all do everything in your power, please, to help Barack Obama win because if he loses, all of us are lost.” Now, just think about what it took for a man to come out of his mouth like that. Barack Obama is not The Messiah for sure, but any time he gives you a sign of uniting races, ethnic groups, ideologies, religions, and makes people feel a sense of oneness, that is not necessarily Satan’s work. That is, I believe, The Work of God.

I thank Master Fard Muhammad for His coming. I thank Master Fard Muhammad for raising the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. I thank Allah (God) for sparing my life as we go through these trying times. We must clean up our lives, clean up our communities.

Young people: You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change. That is why Barack Obama has captured the youth, and he has involved young people in a political process that they didn’t care anything about. That is a sign: When The Messiah speaks, the youth will hear. And The Messiah is absolutely speaking.
